Our wedding destination is Ischia, Italy, an island located off the coast of Naples that is known for its natural thermal springs, coastal resorts, wellness spas, fresh seafood and local vineyards.
As the Italians say: “Ischia, dove si mangia, beve e fischia!”
— “Ischia, where you eat, drink, and whistle!”

Ischia is made up of several beautiful towns, each with its own vibe — from stylish beachside spots to quiet wellness escapes. Whether you’re planning to explore the island or just relax between events, there’s something for everyone. We’ve put together a quick guide to help you choose the area that best fits your style, travel plans, and how you’d like to experience the wedding weekend.
Ischia Porto: the commercial and transport center of the island, where most ferries arrive. It’s lively, walkable, and filled with shops, cafes, beach clubs, and a marina lined with restaurants and bars. Ischia Porto, along with Forio, are great for first-timers who want convenience and nightlife.
Casamicciola Terme: nestled between Ischia Porto and Lacco Ameno, Casamicciola is known for its thermal springs and wellness resorts. It’s quieter than the main towns but still centrally located.
Lacco Ameno (where the venue is): charming seaside town known for its relaxed, upscale vibe. It’s home to a handful of luxury hotels, cute boutiques, cafés, and gelato spots, all set along a lovely waterfront promenade. You’ll also spot the town’s famous “Fungo” – a mushroom-shaped rock sitting just off the shore.
Forio: the largest town on the island’s west coast, known for its beautiful beaches, epic sunsets, and lush gardens like La Mortella. Forio also has one of the livelier nightlife scenes on the island, with beach clubs, wine bars, and casual spots that stay open late — making it a great pick for younger guests looking for some fun after dinner. It’s walkable, authentic, and full of personality.
Sant’Angelo: a picturesque, pedestrian-only fishing village with pastel buildings and a small harbor. It’s peaceful and stylish, ideal for a quiet stay. There are also several spa hotels and hot springs nearby.
Ischia Ponte: just next to Ischia Porto, Ischia Ponte has an old-school, charming feel with cobblestone streets, little shops, and the famous Aragonese Castle just offshore. It’s quieter than the main port, great if you’re looking for a more laid-back stay with lots of character.
Ischia is home to over 400 hotels and airbnbs, so there is something for every style and budget. We’ve listed a few options near the wedding venue for convenience, but there are plenty of other great places to stay across the island.
Below is a list of hotel options for our wedding, grouped by high, medium, and low price ranges. We’ve also included a few additional top-rated hotels in the area.

There are a few ways to get to Ischia depending on your travel plans — whether you’re coming straight from the U.S. or exploring other parts of Italy first. Here’s a breakdown:
Option 1: Fly into Naples (NAP)
This is the most direct route – about 9hrs nonstop
- Fly to Naples International Airport (NAP)
- From Naples Airport, take a taxi (~20–45 min) to the Naples port
- Take a ferry or hydrofoil (45–90 minutes) to Ischia
Tip: Try to land in Naples by early afternoon to ensure you catch a ferry the same day
Option 2: Fly into Rome + Train to Naples
Great if you want to spend time in Rome or can’t find a good flight into Naples
- Fly into Rome Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA).
- Take the train from Rome Termini to Napoli Centrale. The high-speed trains take about 1–1.5 hours
- From Napoli Centrale, grab a short taxi to the Naples port and ferry to Ischia
Option 3: Explore More of Italy First
- If you’re traveling around Italy (e.g., Florence, Milan), just take a train to Naples, then continue on to the port and ferry
- Additional ferry options available from Amalfi Coast towns to Ischia
Ferry Tips
Ferries run regularly, but they can be affected by weather, strikes, or seasonal demand — always check ahead
Major ferry companies: Alilauro, Caremar, and SNAV
If you’re prone to motion sickness, opt for the slower ferry over the hydrofoil
Early July in Ischia is typically warm, with daytime highs between 81–86°F (27–30°C) — though it can feel hotter under the Mediterranean sun. Evenings are comfortably mild, with lows around 71–75°F (22–24°C).
We recommend arriving in Ischia by at least Thursday, July 2nd or Friday, July 3rd, especially if you’d like to join us for the welcome event Friday evening.
Keep in mind that getting to the island involves a ferry or hydrofoil from Naples, and these can be affected by weather or delays — so giving yourself a travel buffer is a good idea.
If possible, try to land in Naples or arrive by train by early afternoon to make your ferry with plenty of time. That way, you’ll arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy the weekend!
We love your little ones, but due to space and planning considerations, we kindly ask that only children in our immediate families attend the wedding events. For guests traveling with kids, we’re happy to help arrange babysitting services nearby or at the venue—just let us know in advance and we’ll share options! Thanks so much for understanding 💛
Not at all! Saturday’s the big day, and we’re just excited to celebrate with you then. If you’ll be around Friday, we’re also hosting a welcome event to kick things off. Just make sure to RSVP so we know if you’re coming!
The ceremony begins at 5:00 PM at Chiesa di Santa Restituta, located right next to Regina Isabella in Lacco Ameno. The cocktail hour will follow in the garden of Regina Isabella.
Yes — the wedding will be Black Tie Optional / Formal.
Tuxedos or suits are welcome for men, and gowns or elevated cocktail dresses for women. That said, we want you to feel your best—choose what’s comfortable and festive within a formal vibe.
